Embraced by nothing but pure darkness, the deep sound of heartbeats thrusts through the listener’s ears and heart. The title song "Velvet Proof" defines the accent of the heart in an emotional way and allows us to experience the uncrowded metaphysics of the uncertainty of life. However, a coupling track “White Loop” the piano sound invites us warmth and a fantastic of real utopia.Inside a mysterious spring, the voice of an innocent young girl swings around and reminds us of a sprite or fairy. A unique kind of "ambient - sound", which portrays a dark view of the world but also beauty in incompleteness. While displaying both, light and darkness in a cinematic view, this music tells us the joy of the unknown world. The images and the film directed by ARI MATSUOKA of MOLS magazine. It's a cinematic abstract art film. Suddenly… It takes you into another world.

1月2日、ドイツ・ベルリン在住のサウンドアーティスト・MAKOTO SAKAMOTOが、2曲入りEP「Velvet Proof」と、同曲MVをリリースした。ビジュアルイメージとフィルムディレクションは、ベルリン発ドキュメンタリー＆カルチャーマガジン「MOLS magazine」の編集長ARI MATSUOKAが監督を務め、退廃的な孤独の世界に突如迷い込んでしまったかのようなアートフィルム作品となっている。
空間の奥行きを見通すことができない暗闇のなかで、深く沈み込む心臓音。表題曲である「Velvet Proof」は心の抑揚がエモーショナルに描かれており、不特定の生命のメタフィジックスを読み開いたかのようなローフリーケンシー・サウンドスケープが体感できる。2曲目「White Loop」では一転、光の射す方へと180度の方向転換を見せ、DIYのテープループで録音されたピアノのローファイサウンドが、温かく、私たちを幻想的な真のユートピアへと誘ってくれる。
名もなき神秘の泉の中を、あどけなさの残る彼女の声は精霊のようにたゆたう。作中で印象的なボーカルの正体について詳細は語られておらず、彼女のプロフィールや素顔は謎に包まれている。
未完成の美しさとダークな世界観が放つ異形のアンビエント・サウンド。この作品は、光と闇の両面をシネマティックに映し出しながら、わたしたちに未知なるものに触れる喜びを教えてくれることだろう。
